THE REAL WORLD VISION EXPERIENCE
Eye-Point Technology III is a new analysis technology that enables Shamir to overcome the problem of different prescription-related viewing experiences. By simulating the real world view for any given prescription, Shamir is able to redefine the viewing experience, ensure similar fields of view for both hyperopic and myopic wearers, and provide an improved viewing experience for all patients, regardless of prescription.
NEW ERGONOMIC DESIGN CONCEPT
Natural Posture is a new ergonomic design concept that dynamically locates the near viewing zone within the progressive lens corridor, taking into account the positive or negative power of the prescription. This minimises the need to tilt the head forward or back or raise and lower a book in an attempt to bring the text into focus. Any postural discomfort while reading is thereby minimised, ensuring the patient enjoys natural, comfortable posture.

This technology controls the power profile along the eye’s visual path through the progressive lens corridor, and allows Shamir lens designers to give variable emphasis to the power for every given point on the lens. PERFECT VISION FOR ANY FRAME CHOICE
As-Worn Technology™ compensates lens design structure according to the unique parameters of the chosen frame. It ensures that once the lenses are fitted into the frame, patients will experience the same visual acuity as they did in the optometrist’s trial frame. With As-Worn Quadro, an add-on to our existing technology, we have multiplied the design source dimensions by four. Lens design is now even less sensitive to tilt variations of the patient’s chosen frame, ensuring overall improvement of lens performance in any frame.
THE NEAR PD SOLUTION FROM SHAMIR
The visual demands of today’s world have changed. Nearly everyone is now using digital devices, resulting in increased close viewing and increased eye convergence. A physiological trait that varies from person to person, convergence is particularly significant regarding progressive lenses, while the amount of convergence required and achieved influences near visual performance during close work tasks.According to recent surveys, 90% of people use digital devices for two or more hours each day, while 60% use digital devices for five or more hours each day.
Shamir’s Close-Up technology adjusts the reading zone inset of the lens to each individual patient’s convergence during near viewing.
