Vision Express promotes better eye health with AFPOLCI partnership
Vision Express, the leading premium optical retailer in the Philippines, partnered with the Armed Forces of the Philippines Officers’ Ladies Club Inc. (AFPOLCI) to promote better eye health among children in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This collaboration reflects Vision Express’ commitment to creating a brighter future through improved vision care.
As part of the initiative, Vision Express donated over 400 pairs of eyeglasses for kids aged 5-11 across four educational institutions: WESCOM Elementary School, WESCOM Child Development Center, Antonio Bautista Air Base Elementary School, Antonio Bautista Air Base Child Development Center, and Pag-asa Integrated School.

“Myopia cases are on the rise in the Philippines, especially with kids who have extended screen time. Our goal is to mitigate this growing epidemic by making eyeglasses more accessible to those who need them the most. We need to start addressing optical concerns at an early age to ensure a better and brighter future,” shared Vision Express President Neelam Gopwani.
AFPOLCI Board of Trustees Chairperson Melody Mariele Brawner also said, “We are committed to improving the lives of our communities, and we are grateful that Vision Express supports us in this mission. With better eyesight, our hope is for the kids in Puerto Princesa to have better health and a stronger sense of togetherness.”
This initiative underscores the importance of early eye care and collaborative efforts to improve children’s health and educational outcomes.
